Configure remote machine table targets

Unisphere supports the ability to configure remote machine table targets.

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Unisphere for PowerMax.
  2. Select a storage system.
    The system performance dashboard is displayed by default (see View performance and capacity dashboard for a specific storage system).
  3. Click PROTECTION.
  4. In the Actions panel, click REMOTE MACHINE TABLE tab to open the Remote Machine Table list view.
  5. Do one of the following:
      • To create an RMT target, click Create.
      • Select the array.
      • Click Use non-existing Array ID checkbox and enter values for Director, Port, IPv4 Address and IPv6 Address, otherwise select the port and enter values for IPv4 Address and IPv6 Address.
      • Optional: To add another RMT target, click Add icon.
      • Optional: To delete an RMT target, click Delete icon.
      • Select the RMT target, click Modify, and modify the values for IPv4 Address and IPv6 Address, otherwise select the array, click Modify, and modify the values for Director, Port, IPv4 Address, and IPv6 Address.
    • Select the RMT target and click Delete icon to delete the RMT target.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Run Now.
    • Click Add to Job List. The task is added to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
